AlphaSCAN

AlphaSCAN is a scan-driven tool built for SAP/Beas environments. It enables operators to manage warehouse and production tasks directly from the shop floor, with full alignment to SAP processes and user authorizations.

Having used an older warehouse management app for over five years, Alpha offered our company a new product last year. We spent several months testing the Alpha Scan app to ensure that it met our needs. Once we went live with the Alpha Scan app on our iPads, we were very pleased with its usability and fast performance.

The app has a straightforward layout with intuitive functions. Everything needed for managing inventory is there: put-away, picking, inventory transfers, location and item lookups, etc. Users simply log into the app, select the function they need to perform, scan items, and select a button to complete an activity. Alpha Scan logs all activity, making it easy to track usage.

Key Functions

  • Shipping – Scan sales order lines and generate delivery notes from the floor. Supports automated or manual shipping labels.
  • Pick List – View required items, quantities, and storage locations to pick orders accurately.
  • Receiving – Select open purchase orders and process goods receipt (partial or full) on the spot.
  • Put Away – Select default or specific storage locations and confirm stock placement.
  • Inventory Lookup – Search by item, batch/serial, or location to view real-time stock availability.
  • Inventory Transfer – Transfer stock securely between locations using scan inputs.
  • Transfer Requests – Process open transfer requests by scanning items, quantities, and locations.
  • Adjustments (GI/GR) – Perform inventory adjustments following SAP rules and authorizations.
  • Inventory Count – Execute and update cycle counts through scanning; variances are processed in SAP.
  • Log Out – End sessions instantly so the next operator can continue work.
